Image hosting?

Can someone please tell me what "Image Hosting" is? When I am on myspace I see alot of pages with images on them with different wording or paragraphs of things. Is there somewhere where I can get a tutorial?

"Image hosting" is when an image of your choice is uploaded onto a server so that it is available for download whenever it is needed, such as when someone looks at a myspace profile with that image on it, your computer will go to where the address of the image is and retrieve it so that the page will show up the way the author intended it to look, with the image showing. A lot of people use Photobucket as a host for their myspace images. You can get your own images hosted for free if you go to http://www.photobucket.com They should have a handy tutorial on how to get things done, there...it's really easy! Good luck! :)
